Hi everyone 💙
You may have seen hydrocolloid patches or skin-like dressings being used to protect irritated or psoriasis-prone skin.
These patches can help shield the skin from friction, scratching and irritation. In some cases, covering psoriasis plaques is also used as a form of occlusion, which can increase how much moisture or topical treatment stays in contact with the skin.
But they are not suitable for every situation, and if you use prescription creams, it is important to check with a healthcare professional before covering them with a patch or dressing.
💬 We’d love to hear from you:

If you have tried psoriasis patches or occlusive dressings, share what your experience was like and whether you would use them again.
