Holidays and Bank Holidays I find more difficult than other times of year. I think because I live alone, it is easier to dwell on things at that time of year.

Hello, this is my first post on this topic.
Ever since my partner has been hospitalised last month, I've been feeling really lonely and now the depression kicks in. I live in my partner's home town, in his house and only know a few of his friends. I haven't had chance to make any friends of my own as I've only lived here for 1&half years. Being deaf doesn't help either. The only 2 people that keep in touch with me via texts are my mother and my best friend as both live up north where I'm originally from.
Last year my partner was hospitalised, in May then went into rehabilitation, in June, for 16 weeks. He was able to keep in touch via texts at that time. He came home in September and we had a lovely 4 months before he was hospitalised last month. Now this time his recovery wasn't good. He hasn't been able to keep in contact with me and still isn't. This is where my depression kicked in. I get updates from his best friend's wife, who phoned the ward on my behalf. However, it seems she has gotten fed up of doing it and has told my partner's occupational therapist to update me once a week instead. I feel that is a bit unfair cause I don't like to wait a whole week, to know how he is doing etc.
When my depression kicks in, all I seem to do is cry a lot until I'm worn out. I could go for a walk but I dislike walking on my own. I've no pets.
Thanks for reading. Much love to everyone and have a blessed day xx
