I'd previously had a mammogram and ultrasound in 2013 because of lumps and a discharging nipple.  I was basically told there was nothing to worry about and I was made to feel like I had wasted their time!

I carried on monitoring and in 2015 the lump started to feel like it was getting bigger - I went back to my GP and was referred again, I had already decided that if it was the same doctor I'd ask to see someone else - luckily it wasn't the same man but unluckily they found something that was behind the lump that I was monitoring!!  Diagnosis was Oct 2015 DCIS.  I had so much information given to me - the only benefit I saw was free prescriptions and hospital parking!!!

I had a biopsy during the ultrasound after the mammogram - I felt that I coped better when I stopped reading information given to me, as I needed to experience it for myself and not expect to have the same as someone else (if that makes sense)

I underwent CT, MRi and bone scans as they were worried that it had affected the chest wall - luckily no!

Plus a barrage of blood tests!
