Hi has anyone tried sebco cream? has it worked for you?
also what kind of moisturizing lotion do you use? I have one, don't remember its name it comes in a blue and white tube, doesn't really do what it's supposed to.

over the years i have used all of the creams pills and potions like betnovate and dermovate and dovaobate most i found helped but over time began feeding the problem some of the creams were quiet sever in odour and they stained a lot because of the coal tar base i have it mostly on my hands knees elbows buttocks and feet which is a large area to cover with the creams i tried the light treatment and the coal tar baths but soon found that not a lot worked ime now on the spray enstilar which i uses every time i have a shower which is usually once a day i use a flannel to remove the plaques and take the thickness off then spray straight after this has helped reduce mine down .

Hi everyone,
don't forget that we now have a medications unit on Carenity (Give my opinion -> Medications) and that you can find the medications/ointments you've been using, rate them and give your opinion so that other members could learn from you.
The more members comment on the medications, the more useful this unit will become.
Thank you in advance for your priceless contribution to our community of patients.
Kind regards,
Margarita

I have had psoriasis for over fifty years, 2 years ago I found a moisturiser that has become a lifesaver for me. It is my trusty little sunflower body lotion. It was developed by national health service dermatologists and all profits go back to the health service. I have psoriasis on my face , under arms, under breasts etc. All places you don't want to use strong steroid creams. I cant reccomend this highly enough.

@Kel123
Hi,
I received an email from carenity reference the overall discussion threads. I have read them all and would like to pass on my experience.
I have suffered from Psoriasis Nervosa since an accident some 50 years ago, in conjunction with this confidence destroying illness I also have Psoriatic Arthropathy and Acute Fibromyalgia.
After over 40 years of lotions, creams and potions, my consultant dermatologists suggested that I try Humira injections(knowing that I have a fear of needles).
As I had nothing to lose and everything to gain I decided to give it a go.
I now look at myself in a mirror and can still NOT believe that I am COMPLETELY FREE of the Acute Plaque Psoriasis I used to have ALL over my body, WOW and HOORAY, finally. I used to be so embarrassed and ashamed that I used to always wear long sleeved shirts, long legged trousers etc, so that NO part of my 'diseased skin' could be seen by anyone else, so only my direct family were aware of my situation. Within a couple of weeks my skin stated to show major signs of improvement and after ONLY 4 months virtually ALL of the plaques had gone, this was quickly followed by the disappearance of the red patches of skin. I am now, and have been for a number of years, COMPLETELY FREE of ANY outward signs of ever having Acute Plaque Psoriasis and I now regularly wear shorts and I am not ashamed to NOT wear an item of clothing on my torso.
From numerous amounts of creams and lotions, that needed someone else to apply, up to 4 times a day, as well as all of the showers, before re-applying the creams etc and the weeks in hospital, if I suffered a serious 'flare up', so that they could 'get it back under control', I now only have to give myself a very quick injection, using a type of 'epipen' ONCE a month,(takes less than 30 seconds),BRILLIANT, and NO SIDE EFFECTS.
There are a number of 'different types' of this medication, so I am 100% positive that you will find one that works for you, and using my 'timescale', you could be COMPLETELY FREE of the 'visible' signs of Psoriasis BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!(i don't even have any 'dandruff' anymore)
After my excellent results, I discussed the treatment with my daughter(as she has 'inherited' the disease), then with the dermatology consultant and my daughter was very quickly allocated a similar treatment(different brand, type of injection), and she also saw a major change very quickly and is also 'FREE' from the visible signs of Psoriasis, with NO side effects.
PLEASE, please discuss this type of treatment with your dermatology consultant ASAP, even if it means contacting his\her her secretary, and changing your appointment to a very imminent one and hopefully you will see the same results, or better.
Obviously, I know I still have the disease, BUT I now have it under control and I can deal with the other illnesses I have on a more 'even keel'.
I really hope that this 'post' helps you in some way.
Wishing you all the very best for the future.
