Hi everyone,

Hand weakness is a common and frustrating symptom of multiple sclerosis. Whether it’s difficulty writing, typing, fastening buttons, or opening jars, even the smallest tasks can feel like big hurdles.

  • Have you found any workarounds or tools that help you manage?
  • What specific daily tasks are most affected for you?
  • Have you tried any assistive devices or strategies that really made a difference?
  • Do you feel this symptom has impacted your independence?

Hi @Somya.P !

I do notice some weakness in my hands from time to time. Since I started having spasticity, my hands can sometimes feel stiff and a bit clumsy, especially when I’m very tired.

Small tasks like opening jars, fastening buttons or writing for too long can be difficult on those days. I usually just take breaks and try not to push my hands too much. If something is too hard to open, I ask my husband for help😍

It can be frustrating at times, but I try to adapt and take things slowly.

Take care everyone 💞
