Hello all, I've had MS for many many years now (sometimes I almost lose count!) and I believe I remember at the beginning the neurologist told me that I couldn't be vaccinated anymore. No flu jab, nothing if I were to travel somewhere where that's necessary, etc. Does anyone know anything about this? Has this changed in recent years? At a time where we may eventually have a vaccine for COVID-19, I've been wondering about it.

If I remember rightly I think the neurologist said that my immune system was attacking itself so it wouldn't be wise to introduce a virus to it, even if it's for inoculation purposes.

What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

@nameless I had the vaccine last week 😊 I am a health and social care frontline worker so received it under that umbrella ☂

I've been actively encouraged to continue as usual for ANY and ALL vaccines. I haven't  had any adverse reactions. My pneumonia vaccination is due this year too.

Always best to play safe though and check with GP and MSNurse.

Adrian xx

I’m not having the vaccine -

reasons.  It’s under trial until 2023

three close friends with MS have been badly affected from varying from bedbound for a month to death within 3 weeks

I have had anaphylaxis more than once
